Our fully equipped radiology suite allows us to offer x-rays on site. We are often able to perform x-rays same-day or within the week. Sedatives may be required to obtain diagnostic images in cases where patients are uncooperative or when pain is suspected (i.e. x-rays to evaluate lameness/limping). We utilize off-site radiology consultation in unique cases where a specialist opinion is needed.
Dental x-rays
Patients undergoing dental procedures will have full-mouth digital dental x-rays during their procedure. A complete oral exam under anesthesia and dental x-rays help to determine the health of each tooth, identify problems lurking below the gum line and form a plan for treatment. For safety reasons, dental x-rays can only be performed under general anesthesia.
Ultrasound
We utilize the services of a mobile sonographer performing both abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds. Ultrasound images are obtained and submitted for review by a boarded veterinary radiologist.
